Phill started shooting full bore, with the Port Moresby Rifle Club in PNG, while there on a work contract, this fueled his interest in shooting & gunsmithing. Upon his return to Australia he started building and shooting, black powder, muzzel loading rifles. This replica of a flintlock Plains rifle,and powder horn, was built by Mastin many years ago,and gave a glimpse of things to come,Mastin built many more M/L rifles, but eventually the demand for his precision target rifles took over.
